Join Bianca Rivera from the Long Beach Public Library as she answers the common question "Raspberry Pi, now what?" Attendees will learn how to set up and configure their Raspberry Pi computers and get hands-on practice with physical computing hardware. Attendees will also be able to experiment with projects utilizing coding languages like Python and Sonic Pi and hardware such as breadboards, jumper wires, resistors, Sense HATs, Pi Cameras, LEDs, buttons, buzzers and more!
Prerequisite: Attendees should have an intermediate understanding of downloading software. No prior coding experience is needed, but an ability to understand coding is recommended. Attendees should bring earbuds to listen to their creations!
Space is limited to 12 and no more than two people from each institution.
A certificate for .2 CEU's will be emailed after the workshop.
The registration fee covers the cost of one (1) Raspberry Pi device and accessories ($50) for you to bring back to your library or you may bring your own Raspberry Pi.
